Removal and installation electric window switches (Opel Vectra C)

Front door



1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5).

2. Using a plastic wedge, pry and remove the main switch panel (see accompanying illustration) control of the electric window lifters from the driver's door trim.

3. To remove the passenger door switch panel, you need to remove the front door trim (see Chapter 11).

4. Disconnect the wiring connector from the back of the switch panel (see accompanying illustration).

5. To remove the passenger door switch panel, you must also press the clips on the back of the trim.



6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Note: Electric rear window lifts are installed in certain model configurations.


7. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5).

8. On GTS Sedan/Hatchback models, remove the rear side door trim. Press the tabs on the back of the trim and remove the window switch together with the tweeter cover.

9. On Estate/Signum models, carefully pry the switch panel and tweeter cover off the door armrest with a plastic wedge (see accompanying illustration) and press it outward.

10. Remove the switch from the panel and disconnect the switch wiring connector.

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
