Should I perform an idle speed adjustment? (Opel Vectra B)

Installation work is not necessary in our Vectra with adjustable catalytic converter, because there is nothing to adjust here. This work is performed by the lambda probe and, accordingly, the ignition/injection control unit Checking the idle speed (770-930 rpm for the 16V 1.6 l engine and 670-1030 rpm for the 16V 1.8/2.0 l engine) or CO content (max. 0.3 vol.% at 2800-3200 rpm without load) is performed only in exceptional cases. If the specified values are not obtained, check the air hoses, vacuum hoses, exhaust gas recirculation and activated carbon canister system.
