The control unit for the four-point injection system has a program memory. The memory device is able to recognize and store defects that occur during engine operation. The control light on the dashboard signals the driver about a malfunction. Fault information is stored for 20 engine starts. If the defect does not reappear during this time, for example, due to a rocking contact, then information about it is erased.
The workshop has an ignition/injection system reader that plugs into a socket under the center console. Thus, information about violations in the system operation can be read.
