Air filter and intake ducts — removal and installation (Opel Vectra B)

Removal the intake manifold on models with 1.8 and 2.0 L engines



On these models, the intake ports are bolted in place.

Removal

1. To remove the air filter housing, loosen the fastening brackets, disconnect the air duct, unscrew the nuts and remove the housing from the engine compartment.

2. On models with single point fuel injection, disconnect the vacuum hose and the heated air intake from the air cleaner housing.

3. The intake manifold tubes can be disconnected and removed after the mounting brackets have been removed. In some cases, the crankcase ventilation hose and electrical connectors must be removed. The intake manifolds may also be bolted on.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
