Brake tubes are used to transfer brake fluid from the master brake cylinder to the wheel brake cylinders. The tubes are connected to the brake cylinders and distributors using cone couplings. The ends of the tubes are crimped and have a cone shape for the corresponding size of the cone threaded holes in the brake cylinders or distributors.
Before crimping the ends of the tubes, a lock nut is placed on them, which, after screwing the conical surface into the conical base of the threaded hole, presses and seals the tube.
Brake hoses provide movable connections between the moving and fixed parts of the car. To reduce the loss of brake fluid when removing the working brake cylinders, clamps are used to squeeze the brake hoses.
