Minimum brake disc thickness
The minimum brake disc thickness is stamped on the outer surface of the brake disc.
Examination
1. Raise the front or rear of the vehicle respectively and secure it on stands. Remove the corresponding wheel.
2. Place a 10 mm washer on the wheel mounting bolt and screw the mounting bolt into the hole located on the opposite side of the brake disc mounting screws.
3. Slowly turn the brake disc so that it can be seen from both sides. Brake disc wear from pads must be within acceptable limits. If the wear exceeds the allowable limit, or there are cracks on the disc, the disc must be replaced.
4. Use a dial indicator to check the runout of the brake disc. Fix the dial indicator in any convenient place and, turning the disk, determine its runout at a distance of 10 mm from the outer edge.
