The wheels of a new car are balanced at the manufacturing plant. Balancing is done to compensate for uneven distribution of the tire material.
When driving, wheel imbalance manifests itself in vibration of the steering wheel. As a rule, this occurs in a certain speed range and disappears when the speed decreases or increases. Over time, imbalance can lead to damage to the joints, steering and shock absorbers.
Wheels must be balanced every 15,000 km and after each tire repair, since wear and repair changes the distribution of material on the tire.
