Removing
1. Remove the viscous radiator fan.
2. Remove the A/C compressor drive belt.
3. Unscrew the bolt 2 that secures the cooling pipe holder (see illustration).
4. Mark with an arrow the direction of rotation of the auxiliary drive belt and remove it by loosening the tension by turning the tensioner pulley mounting bolt in the direction of the arrow (see illustration 12.3).
Installation
5. Lay the accessory drive belt in the same direction of rotation (see illustration).
6. Install the coolant line holder on the power steering pump bracket. Tightening torque 24 Nm.
7. Install the A/C compressor drive belt and attach the viscous radiator fan.
A/C Compressor Drive Belt
8. Remove mudguard (protection) engine.
9. Mark the direction of rotation of the ribbed belt by marking an arrow on it with chalk.
10. Turn the roller 1 of the belt tensioner clockwise using the socket and remove the belt (see illustration).
11. Lay the belt, keeping its former direction of rotation.
Ribbed belt tensioner
12. Remove the ribbed belt.
13. Remove fuse box 5 and battery (see illustration).
14. Disconnect the plug 2 of the generator and loosen the lower bolt 4 of its fastening (see illustration 12.13).
15. Unscrew the top bolt 3 fastening the generator and move the generator to the side (see illustration 12.13).
16. Unscrew the nut 3 of the ribbed belt tensioner and release the stopper 2 (see illustration).
17. Unscrew the bolts 1 fastening the tensioner and remove it (see illustration 12.16).
Installation
18. Fasten the tensioner to its mounting location on the timing gear housing. At the same time, do not perform the final tightening of its bolts.
19. Fasten the lock lever with a new nut with a tightening torque of 9.9 Nm and perform the final tightening of the tensioner mounting bolts. Tightening torque 14.8 Nm.
20. Install the generator by tightening its fastening bolts with a force of 47 Nm.
21. Connect the generator plug, reinstall the battery and fuse box.
22. Install the belt.
