Oil pump — removal and installation (Opel Omega B2)

Removal

1. Remove the oil pan.

2. Unscrew bolt 2 securing sprocket 1 and remove it from the oil pump shaft (see illustration).



3. Unscrew bolts 4 and remove oil pump 3 (see illustration 14.2).

Installation

Caution: When replacing the oil pump, install a new seal on the oil supply line.

4. Install and secure the oil pump to the cylinder block, tightening torque of the mounting bolts 23 Nm.

5. Install the drive sprocket on the pump shaft, having first put the chain on it, and secure the sprocket with a bolt using a force of 24 Nm.

6. Reinstall the oil pan.
