Removal
1. Remove the torsional vibration damper and ensure that the sealing surfaces are not damaged.
2. Install the KM-6266 puller 3 on the seal 1 and press the seal out of the timing drive housing with bolt 2 (see illustration).

3. Clean the seat and remove any remaining old sealant.
Installation
4. Install the 1 KM-6252 device on the crankshaft and lubricate it with white silicone grease (see illustration).

5. Place a new seal on the KM-6252 device and move it into the mounting hole in the timing drive housing.
6. Remove the KM-6252 device.
7. Fix the mandrel 1 KM-6251 on the crankshaft and install the ring 3 KM-6249 on it (see illustration).

8. Press the seal into the hole by screwing nut 2 onto the mandrel rod (see illustration 10.7).
9. After installing the oil seal, remove the mandrel KM-6249 and KM-6251 and install the vibration damper.
