Remove differential cover.
Mark the position of the adjusting nut of the differential box bearing relative to the gearbox housing and, moving the differential box by hand, check the axial clearance of its bearings.
Remove the locking plate and use KM 520 to unscrew the adjusting nut for the preload of the differential box bearings.
After unscrewing the mounting bolts, remove the bearing flange of the differential box.
Remove differential.
Using mandrels KM 466 3 and KM 466 2, press out the oil seals from the adjusting nut and the bearing flange of the differential box.
Press out the outer rings of the differential box bearings from the flange and the adjusting nut using the KM 304, KM 451 mandrels and the KM 502 support ring.
Cut the speedometer drive gear with a chisel and remove it.
Using a puller, press the inner races of the tapered roller bearings off the differential case.
Loosen the bolts securing the driven gear of the final drive to the differential box and press it with a hammer through a brass drift.
Loosen the locking bolt of the satellite shaft and knock out the shaft.
By turning the satellites and semi-axial gears, remove them from the differential box, then remove the thrust washers.
