Grinding valves to seats (Opel Kadett D)

If the seat is in perfect condition and the valve is new, lapping is not necessary.

Lapping should be done with a fine-grain grinding pad. To do this, a rubber suction cup with a rod is installed on the valve plate. Lapping should be done with uniform rotations and frequent lifts.

Note: After grinding, remove the paste thoroughly.

The quality of the grinding is checked by visual inspection and fuel. To do this, insert the valve into the guide bushing, pour fuel into the combustion chamber, it should not leak, otherwise continue grinding.
