Checking the flatness of the mating surface of the cylinder head (Opel Kadett D)

Remove the cylinder head.

Check the cylinder head deformation with a ruler and feeler gauge along the length and width. The deflection along the entire length of the cylinder head of a gasoline engine should not exceed 0.05 mm, and along the width of 150 mm - 0.015 mm. For a diesel engine, along the entire length, no more than 0.1 mm.



Check the cylinder head diagonally for deformation (twisting).



After grinding, the height of the cylinder head should not be less. Size:

• B - 1.0-/1.2-l OHV engines: 81±0.25 mm
• B — 1.2-/1.3-l engines: 96±0.05 mm
• B — 1.6-/1.8-l engines ONS: 96±0.25 mm
• Diesel engine - 106±0.15 mm

Install the cylinder head.
