Collapse
Loosen the alternator tensioner.
Remove V-belt.
Remove the crankshaft pulley.
Unscrew the timing case cover.
Remove cork seal residues from sealing surfaces.
Installation
Glue a new cork gasket, lubricating a little in some places with grease.
Lightly lubricate the crankshaft oil seal with molybdenum disulphide (OPEL №1948524).
Install the timing cover with the crankshaft pulley.
Lightly screw the cover with a few screws to the back of the housing.
Then remove the pulley again without moving the cover.
Screw the cover evenly with all screws crosswise.
Install the crankshaft pulley and tighten to 40 Nm.
Install and tighten the V-belt, see point 22.2.
Check oil level, top up if necessary.
