1. Disconnect the rear of the catalytic converter.
2. Remove muffler.
3. Use a can of paint to mark the position of the propshaft support bearing brackets to prevent misalignment during installation. Support the cardan shaft support bearing brackets with hydraulic struts with holders DT-49035, then unscrew the bolts (1) mounting brackets for support bearings.
Note. Tightening torque of the bolts for fastening the propeller shaft support bearing brackets: 20 Nm.
4. Using tool DT-49147, secure the rear differential flange. Loosen rear differential flange bolts (2).
5. If the propeller shaft is stuck in the flange, use tool DT-49064. Starting from the flange hole from which the bolt has already been removed, turn the tool until it aligns with the next hole in the flange.
Note
- Torque for rear differential flange bolts: 30 Nm.
- Before installing the bolts, freshen the thread with an M8 x 1.25 tap. Apply a locking compound to the threads of the bolts.
6. Install the DT-49030 tool onto the propeller shaft in two steps, placing wooden blocks between the tool and the flanges for a secure fit.
7. Remove cardan shaft (3).
8. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Note. Before installing, apply grease to the propeller shaft splines.
