Attention. The oil in the differential clutch is under very high pressure. To prevent personal injury, wait at least ten minutes before removing any parts of the differential clutch.
Note. The following procedures require the vehicle to be level.
1. Start the engine and let it run for five minutes at idle to distribute the working fluids.
2. With the vehicle stationary, briefly depress the accelerator pedal five times to the stop to bleed the solenoid valves.
3. Turn off the engine.
Note. Make sure the vehicle is in a horizontal position.
4. Raise and secure the vehicle.
Attention. It is very important to ensure maximum cleanliness when working on the differential clutch. Dirt particles can cause serious damage and shorten the life of the differential clutch.
5. Remove the plug (1) filling port and check the fluid level.
Note. The differential clutch fluid level must be at the bottom edge of the filler hole.
6. If necessary, top up the differential clutch fluid.
7. Install filler plug and tighten to 14 Nm.
8. Install the diagnostic tool.
9. With the engine running, scan the power consumption of the rear differential clutch pump motor. The displayed values should be in the range of 2500-3500 mA when the pump is on. If the values are below 2500 mA, the differential clutch fluid level must be rechecked.
10. Repeat steps 1-6 to recheck the fluid level.
11. Lower the car.
