1. When minor air pockets are formed, air is removed from the fuel supply system path automatically when the ignition is turned on, which explains the absence of a manual fuel priming pump.
2. The need to remove air arises after servicing the fuel filter or other elements of the fuel system, as well as the complete exhaustion of fuel from the fuel tank during the car trip (which is highly undesirable).
3. A description of the procedure for bleeding the fuel pump and fuel path is detailed in Chapter 1, Section 8. A prerequisite for successful removal of air from the fuel system is the presence of at least 5 liters of fuel in the fuel tank. If the fuel filter was removed, it must be filled with fuel before installation.
