Attention: Gasoline is a highly flammable and explosive product - when refueling the car, do not forget to turn off the engine and in no case approach the vehicle with an open flame or a lit cigarette! If fuel gets on body surfaces, wash it off with plenty of water as soon as possible in order to prevent damage to the paintwork! If there is a smell of fuel in the cabin, the cause of its appearance should be eliminated immediately.
The filler neck is built into the right rear fender of the car. With the appropriate configuration, the hatch is unlocked / locked simultaneously with the doors by a single lock system. The fuel tank is equipped with a special limiter to prevent the risk of overfilling.
Open the hatch and turn the filler cap counterclockwise, remove it and fix it in the special lug on the back side of the hatch cover (see illustration 5.1). Attention: On Combo models, to avoid damage, do not fully open the right sliding door with the filler cap open!
5.1. Hatch and fuel filler cap
To close the filler neck, put the cap back in place and rotate it until you feel the lock click, then close the hatch by firmly pressing the hinged cap.
Note: If the lid is not properly closed when the vehicle is locked, it may remain unlocked.
Attention: Only genuine Opel covers should be used as replacements. Using a cover of a different design is associated with the risk of malfunctioning of the power supply system! Models with diesel engines are equipped with specially designed covers!
