Attention: Gasoline is a highly flammable and explosive product - when refueling the car, do not forget to turn off the engine and in no case approach the vehicle with an open flame or a lit cigarette!
If fuel gets on body surfaces, wash it off with plenty of water as soon as possible in order to prevent damage to the paintwork! If there is a smell of fuel in the cabin, the cause of its appearance should be eliminated immediately - if necessary, contact an Opel service station.
The filler neck is built into the right rear fender of the car. The hatch is unlocked/locked simultaneously with the doors by a single lock system. The mouth is equipped with a screw cap with a ratchet mechanism. The fuel tank is equipped with a special limiter to prevent the risk of overfilling.
Open the hatch and slowly turn the filler cap, relieving the pressure of the fuel vapors in the tank, then finally remove it and fix it in a special lug on the back of the hatch cover (see illustration 5.1).
To close the filler neck, replace the cap and rotate it until the ratchet engages, then close the hatch by firmly pressing the hinged cap.
Note: If the flap is not properly closed when the vehicle is locked, it may remain unlocked.
Attention: Only genuine Opel covers should be used as replacements. Using a cover of a different design is associated with the risk of malfunctioning of the power supply system! Models with diesel engines are equipped with specially designed covers!
