General information
When buying a car, the owner is provided with a set of two keys. Depending on the configuration of the car, the keys can be mechanical or electronic.
The keys are part of the car's anti-theft system (see Section 8). They have a built-in microchip/transponder, the code of which is authorized on this vehicle. It is not possible to start the engine using another key.
When placing an order for the production of an additional / restoration of a lost key, you should provide the representative of the service station with all available keys, complete with a package of documents for the vehicle. Note: The production of replacement / additional keys is always associated with the need to perform the procedure for recoding a single lock - the documentation must contain complete information on the car's security system (key numbers, immobilizer and infotainment system code numbers).
Mechanical key models
Depending on the version, the key bit can be folded or fixed (see illustrations 2.1, 2.2). Unfolding the key bit (with corresponding version) occurs when the release button is pressed (see illustration 2.1). To fold, you must press the same button and fold the beard into the head housing until a characteristic click. The key is designed to turn on the ignition, start/stop the engine and unlock/lock the car doors in emergency mode (in case of a malfunction of the remote control or a single lock (see below).
Remote control built into the key head (DU). Remote control is the main way to control the functioning of a single lock, and also, with the appropriate configuration, allows you to control the power windows from outside the car (see Section 8).
Models with electronic key (Open&Start system)
On models equipped with the Open&Start system, the electronic key is made in the form of a separate key fob equipped with a built-in remote control (see illustration 2.3).
If the electronic key is recognized by the system as «authorized», the doors can be unlocked/locked without using the remote control (see Section 8), and engine start/stop is carried out from a special button on the instrument panel (see Section 21).
