Keys to the car (Opel Zafira A)

The car comes with a set of two keys. Depending on the configuration, the car may be equipped with a central lock with remote control. In this case, the keys have two buttons for controlling the central lock.



If the key clarity and range decreases, the battery needs to be replaced.

To do this, use a thin slotted screwdriver to lift the retainer and remove the remote release device from the key housing.



Overcoming the resistance of the clamps, we remove the back cover.



We remove the power element.

Warning! After removing the battery, you have three minutes to install a new one. Otherwise, you will need to synchronize the keys with the control unit.

The installation of the power supply element should be carried out in the reverse order, observing the connection polarity.

If the replacement has been carried out for more than three minutes, it is necessary to synchronise the key with the central locking device. To do this, insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to position II (see "Ignition switch (lock)"), Within thirty seconds after the ignition is turned on (without removing the key from the lock) press one of the keys on the key. Synchronization will be confirmed by locking and unlocking the central lock once.

In addition, the key may have an electronic chip built into it that transmits a specific code to control the immobilizer, if the car is equipped with one.
