Removal and installation the front door window regulator (Opel Corsa C)

Note: The procedure below is described using models equipped with electric windows as an example. On models equipped with manual windows, all operations are performed in a similar manner.


Corsa C models



1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5) and remove the trim of the corresponding door (see Section 23).

2. Separate the insulating film from the door frame as much as necessary to gain access to the relevant parts.

3. Lower the glass down so that you can access the glass mounting screws through the holes in the door frame (see accompanying illustration).

4. Secure the glass with two plastic wedges in the door shaft to prevent it from falling when the drive is disconnected.

5. Disconnect the window lifter motor connector and remove the door glass mounting screws (see illustration 28.3).

6. Drill out the heads of the four window regulator mounting rivets and the two guide mounting rivets (see accompanying illustration). Remove the window regulator together with the drive motor from the door assembly. Remove metal filings from all components of the door assembly.

7. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Lubricate the window lift levers and guide with universal grease. To secure the window lift and guide, use rivets ∅ 4.8x11 mm, or replace them with suitable short bolts with nuts, the bolt threads must be lubricated with a fixing compound. If necessary, replace the damaged insulating film.

8. After connecting the battery, it is necessary to synchronize the automatic window lift system (see Chapter "Controls and operating techniques"). Check the operation of the window lift.

Meriva Models



9. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5) and remove the trim of the corresponding door (see Section 23).

10. Separate the insulating film from the door frame as much as necessary to clear access to the relevant parts.

11. Remove the speaker (see Chapter 12).

12. Lower the window and disconnect the window lift motor connector.

13. Remove the 2 mounting screws (see accompanying illustration), then secure the glass with two plastic wedges in the door shaft to prevent it from falling when the drive is disconnected.

14. Drill out the heads of the six window regulator mounting rivets (see accompanying illustration). Remove the window regulator together with the drive motor from the door assembly. Remove metal filings from all components of the door assembly.

15. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. If necessary, replace the damaged insulating film.

16. After connecting the battery, it is necessary to synchronize the automatic window lifting system (see Chapter "Controls and operating techniques"). Check the operation of the window lift.
