Note: This procedure is described below using models equipped with power windows as an example. On models equipped with a manual power window, all operations are carried out in a similar manner.
Corsa C models
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see chapter 5) and remove the upholstery of the corresponding door (see Section 23).
2. Peel off the insulating film from the door frame as far as necessary to free access to the relevant parts.
3. Lower the glass down so that the glass fixing screws are accessible through the holes in the door frame (see resist. illustration).
28.3. Access to screws (indicated by arrows) door glass is fastened through the holes (1) in the door frame (Corsa C models)
4. Fix the glass with two plastic wedges in the door shaft to prevent it from falling when the drive is disconnected.
5. Disconnect the power window motor connector and remove the door glass mounting screws (see illustration 28.3).
6. Drill out the heads of the four power window rivets and the two guide rail rivets (see resist. illustration). Remove the power window along with the drive motor from the door assembly. Remove metal shavings from all components of the door assembly.
28.6. Power window rivets (2) and guide (3) (Corsa C models)
7. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. Lubricate the power window arms and guide with multipurpose grease. Use rivets ∅ 4.8x11 mm to fasten the power window and the guide, or replace them with suitable short bolts with nuts, the threads of the bolts must be lubricated with a fixing compound. If necessary, replace the damaged insulating film.
8. After connecting the battery, it is necessary to synchronize the automatic window lifting system (see chapter «Controls and methods of operation»). Check the operation of the power window.
Meriva Models
9. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see chapter 5) and remove the upholstery of the corresponding door (see Section 23).
10. Separate the insulating film from the door frame as far as necessary to free access to the relevant parts.
11. Remove the loudspeaker (see chapter 12).
12. Lower glass and disconnect a socket of an electromotor of a drive of a window regulator.
13. Remove 2 fixing screws (see resist. illustration), then secure the glass with two plastic wedges in the door shaft to prevent it from falling when the drive is disconnected.
28.13. Mounting screws (indicated by arrows) (Meriva models)
14. Drill out the heads of the six power window rivets (see resist. illustration). Remove the power window along with the drive motor from the door assembly. Remove metal shavings from all components of the door assembly.
28.14. Rivets (indicated by arrows) power window mounts (Meriva models)
15. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. If necessary, replace the damaged insulating film.
16. After connecting the battery, it is necessary to synchronize the automatic window lifting system (see chapter «Controls and methods of operation»). Check the operation of the power window.
