Replacing the front door opening limiter (Opel Astra J)

You will need a 10 mm socket head.



1. Raise the glass to its highest position and remove the front door trim (see Removal and installation the front door trim).



2. Remove the audio system speaker (see Removal and installation speakers).



3. Unscrew the bolt securing the limiter to the front body pillar.



4. Pry up the edge of the limiter seal…





5. …remove the seal from the hole in the door and remove it from the limiter.



6. Unscrew the two nuts securing the limiter to the front end of the door.



7. Remove the limiter through the hole in the inner door panel under the speaker of the acoustic system.



8. Install the front door opening limiter and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
