Door opening limiter — replacement (Opel Zafira A)

The door opening limiter must be replaced if the door no longer locks in the open position. To extend the service life of the limiters and ensure easy and quiet opening and closing of the doors, periodically lubricate the limiters (see "Lubrication of hinges and locks").

Note: The work is performed similarly for the front and rear doors.

Sequence of execution

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Remove the door trim (see "Door trims for Astra model - removal and installation" or "Door trims for Zafira model - removal and installation").

3. Remove the plastic film (see "Front door lock switch (cylinder) - replacement").

4. Using a TORX T40 key, unscrew the bolt securing the limiter to the body pillar.



5. Using a TORX T30 key, unscrew the two bolts securing the limiter to the door.



6. Remove the limiter through the technological opening in the door.



7. Install the limiter in the reverse order.

Recommendation: Lubricate the limiter with lithium grease and apply thread lock to the limiter mounting screws.
