Note: The work is generally the same for all doors on all modifications (differences are indicated in the text).
Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the door trim (see "Door trims for Astra model - removal and installation" or "Door trims for Zafira model - removal and installation") and peel off the polyethylene film from the back of the door.
3. On the left front door, unscrew the inner part of the handle and move it slightly to the side (see "Front door lock switch (cylinder) - replacement"). On the remaining doors, using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the inner part of the handle...

...and we take it off.

4. Turn the traction lock.

5. Disconnect the rod from the handle lever.

6. Remove the outer door handle.

Note: Depends on the door (front or back) and the car model may be difficult to remove the lock rod from engagement with the handle lever. In this case, the algorithm of actions may be as follows.
1. Move the outer part of the handle slightly away from the door, lowering the front part slightly down and lifting the back part up, thereby creating a small force in order to disengage the outer handle rod retainer from engagement with the lock drive.
2. Remove the handle assembly with the rod.
3. Turn the traction lock.
4. Remove the rod.
5. When installing, make sure that the rod enters the lock clamp.
7. Install the parts in reverse order.
