Note. The work is shown on the Astra model, on the Zafira model it is performed similarly. The door glass must be fully raised before performing the operation.
Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the door trim (see "Door trims for Astra model - removal and installation" or "Door trims for Zafira model - removal and installation").
3. Peel off the polyethylene film from the back of the door.
4. Using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the inner part of the handle.
5. Remove the inner part of the handle through the technological hole, simultaneously disengaging the rod from engagement with the drive of the lock mechanism.
6. Disconnect the rod from the switch lever (cylinder).
7. Remove the lever retaining ring.
8. Remove the lever.
9. Remove the lever return spring.
10. Remove the locking device of the switch cylinder guide.
11. Turn the switch guide (cylinder) counterclockwise and remove it.
12. Remove the switch (cylinder) from the inside of the handle.
13. Remove spring 1, connecting washer 2, and remove locking balls 3 from the switch housing.
14. Install the parts in reverse order.
