Removing
Remove inner door trim.
Partially remove the water-repellent protective film.
Detach control rod -A- from carrier -6-.
Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clips -B- from the lock cylinder housing (in the direction of travel, pressing forward).
Pull the lock cylinder out of the hole in the door
Note: To remove the lock cylinder from the housing, insert the ignition key into the lock cylinder.
Detach leash -6- from housing.
Remove the lock cylinder from the housing, the ignition key must be inserted into the lock.
Caution: Do not lose the spring.
Attention: Before pulling the ignition key out of the lock cylinder, wrap the lock cylinder with adhesive tape so that the locking plates cannot fall out.
Installation
Insert lock cylinder -2- with inserted ignition key -1- into housing -3-.
Fit spring -5- and carrier -6-.
Fit seal -4- to housing.
Insert the lock cylinder through the hole in the door and fix it with clips -B-. Connect sealing rod -A- to carrier -6-.
Carefully stick a water-repellent film on the openings in the door.
Install the inner door trim.
Attention: Since 1984, the lock number has been stamped on the trunk lock cylinder. To determine the key number, the lock cylinder must be removed.
