Removal
Remove the inner door trim.
Partially remove the water-repellent protective film.

Disconnect the control rod -A- from the rod -6-.
Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps -B- from the lock cylinder housing (in the direction of travel, pressing forward).

Remove the lock cylinder from the hole in the door
Caution: To remove the lock cylinder from the housing, insert the ignition key into the lock cylinder.
Disconnect the leash -6- from the body.
Remove the lock cylinder from the housing; the ignition key must be inserted into the lock.

Caution: Do not lose the spring.
Caution: Before removing the ignition key from the lock cylinder, wrap the lock cylinder with tape to prevent the locking plates from falling out.
Installation

Insert the lock cylinder -2- with the ignition key -1- inserted into the housing -3-.
Install spring -5- and leash -6-.
Install seal -4- on the housing.
Insert the lock cylinder through the opening in the door and secure it with the clamps -B-. Connect the seal rod -A- to the leash -6-.
Carefully apply water-repellent film to the holes in the door.
Install the interior door trim.
Note: Since 1984, the lock number has been stamped on the trunk lock cylinder. To determine the key number, you must remove the lock cylinder.
