Removal and installation a window lifter with rivets (Opel Kadett D)

Since January 1983, cars have been using lifters that are riveted to the door frame.

Remove the door trim, see paragraph 18.5.

Drill out the rivet heads from the door frame using an 8.5 mm drill bit.

Caution: When drilling out the rivets, do not touch the door frame.


To install the window regulator, use the appropriate screws or new rivets.

Note: When using blind rivets, a special tool is required.
