Lubrication of hinges and locks (Opel Zafira A)

To prevent wear of parts of locks, hinges and opening limiters, it is necessary to periodically (for example, twice a year: in autumn and spring) lubricate them. It is very convenient to use aerosol lubricant for these purposes. Lubrication is carried out in the following order.

1. After opening the door, inject lubricant into the lock mechanism.



2. Apply lubricant to the working surface of the door opening limiter.



3. Inject lubricant into the hinges of the upper and lower door hinges.



4. Lubricate the mechanisms of the remaining doors in a similar manner.



5. Inject lubricant into the switch (cylinder) of the driver's door lock.



6. Open the hood and inject lubricant into the hood lock mechanism.



7. Lubricate the hood lock safety pin.



8. Lubricate the hood hinges.



9. Open the trunk door and inject lubricant into its lock.





10. Inject grease into the switch (cylinder) of the luggage compartment lock.
