Note: Visual inspection is performed without dismantling the equipment and lining. If leaks or excessive consumption of operating fluids are detected, (fuel, oils, etc.) subsequent work is carried out in agreement with the vehicle owner.
During routine maintenance between scheduled maintenance, the car owner is advised to check the air pressure in the tires, the level of engine oil and coolant, windshield washer fluid, etc. at least once a month - making adjustments as needed.
Note: When operating the vehicle in countries where fuel that does not meet European standards is used (EN 228 for petrol or EN 590 for diesel fuel), more frequent maintenance of filters and some other elements of the fuel, lubrication, and ignition systems may be required, and the intervals between scheduled maintenance and oil changes may be reduced.
Every 15,000 km or once a year (whichever comes first)
- Perform a visual inspection of the indicator lights and instruments, external and internal lighting devices, the horn, the anti-theft system devices and the airbag system.
- Check the condition and adjustment of the windshield wipers, windshield washers and headlights.
- Perform a visual inspection of the engine, gearbox, and air conditioning compressor for leaks.
- Check the level and concentration of antifreeze (color light orange), make the appropriate adjustments. Check the radiator for leaks and external contamination.
- Check the reliability of the terminals and the charge of the battery.
- Perform a visual inspection of the steering mechanisms and the operation of the power steering (PS), check the level of the working fluid, and make the appropriate adjustments.
- Check the brake fluid level.
- Check your car systems with the TESN-2 diagnostic tool
- Replace engine oil and oil filter (when using ACEA-AZ/B3, B4 oil).
- Perform a visual inspection of the steering gear boots and tie rods.
- Check the condition of the steering rod ends, ball joints and CV joints, and the condition of their boots.
- Lubricate door hinges and door stops, lock cylinders, locking brackets, hood latch (for Zafira every 2 years).
- Check the outer surface of the body/anti-corrosion protection of the underbody, record any damage found in the "Service Book".
- Take a test drive, make a final check (checking the steering, ignition switch, instruments and warning lights, brake system, air conditioning system, engine and chassis systems).
- If equipped, reset the active maintenance warning system counter readings.
Note: For a 1.9L diesel engine, oil change is performed without filter replacement.
Note: Before applying new grease to the travel limiters, it is essential to remove the old grease.
Note: Check the condition and tension of the multi-rib belt every 30,000 km, but not less than once a year (for Zafira every 2 years)
Every 30,000 km or once every 2 years (whichever comes first)
In addition to the above works:
- Check the remote control, replace the battery (don't forget about the spare key!).
- Replace the carbon filter of the ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems.
- Drain condensate and replace the fuel filter element (diesel models).
- Check the levers and elastic elements of the front and rear suspension, shock absorbers, brake system tubes and hoses, fuel lines and gas equipment (with appropriate equipment) and adjust the parking brake (with unloaded wheels).
- Perform a visual inspection of the front and rear brake mechanisms, check the thickness of the brake linings.
- Perform a visual inspection of the ride height control system and the exhaust system.
- Check the tire pressure monitoring system (with appropriate equipment).
- Check the tightening torque of the wheel bolts, tighten them to the required torque (110 Nm) - be careful not to damage the tire pressure monitoring system.
- Check the condition of your tires and the air pressure in them (including in the spare tire) and making appropriate adjustments.
- Conduct a visual inspection of the first aid kit.
- Check and adjust the angle of the optical axes of the headlights.
Note: When operating in conditions of high air humidity and/or poor quality fuel, condensate must be drained at least once a year.
Note: When installing, the cone of the wheel bolts must be lubricated with grease or oil.
Note: For vehicles equipped with a tire repair kit, check the kit annually for completeness, replace the sealant bottle every 4 years - check the expiration date!
Every 60,000 km or 4 years (whichever comes first)
- Replace the air cleaner filter element.
- Replace the external fuel filter of petrol or gas engines (when using fuel of EN 228 standard).
