Power take-off socket (Opel Astra H)

The power take-off socket is designed to connect additional power consumers designed for a supply voltage of 12 V and a power consumption of no more than 120 W. The cigarette lighter socket can be used as such a socket (see above). On the Station Wagon models, an additional socket is installed in the luggage compartment (see illustration 17.27), equipped with a protective cover.

Caution: Do not use electrical appliances with unsuitable plugs to avoid damaging the socket! The maximum power consumption of additional electrical appliances must not exceed 120 watts! Do not connect electrical appliances that produce electric current, such as chargers or batteries! Electrical appliances to be connected must comply with the electromagnetic compatibility standard DIN VDE 40 839, otherwise the vehicle may malfunction!
