Interior rear view mirror (Opel Astra H)

Before driving, you should adjust the interior rearview mirror, trying to ensure that the center of the rear window opening is visible in its center (the mirror must be set to the daytime driving position).

The mirror is switched to the night driving position using a lever located under the mirror housing - this reduces the blinding effect of headlights of vehicles driving behind. Some models are equipped with rear-view mirrors with automatic dimming to reduce the effect of blinding headlights of vehicles driving behind (see illustration 17.31).

Note: The dimming function is only available when the ignition is on.
