To the right of the ashtray, a cigarette lighter is mounted in the console panel (see illustration 17.26). The cigarette lighter can be activated in any position of the key in the ignition switch. To activate the cigarette lighter, simply press its button into the receiving socket until it stops - after the heating element has finished heating up, the button will automatically pop out to its original position.

Caution: Never press the cigarette lighter button with force!
If the cigarette lighter button does not pop out after pressing for a long time, the car should be driven to a service station to eliminate the malfunction. After use, do not forget to return the button to the socket (to avoid clogging the latter). The cigarette lighter socket can be used to connect additional power consumers designed for 12 V and a power consumption of no more than 120 W.
For rear passengers, an ashtray is built into the end wall of the center console (see illustration 17.24) To use the ashtray, press one side of the decorative panel and move it to the position for use.
