Removal and installation of the assembly of individual directional front seat lamps (Opel Astra H)

1. Set the rotary switch for the outdoor lighting modes to position "0" (see Chapter "Controls and operating techniques", Section 17) and turn off the ignition. Disconnect the battery (see Chapter 5).

2. Using a plastic wedge, push out the rear and front trims (see accompanying illustration) from the assembly of individual directional lamps for the front seats - in this case, the plastic wedge must be inserted from the side of the rear fasteners.

3. After separating the front cover, use a screwdriver to separate the microphone on the back of the cover.

4. Insert a plastic wedge under the glass cover fasteners of the lamp assembly from the rear side (see illustration 22.2) and press the latches. Lower the glass cover, release it from the front holders with a small screwdriver and remove it.

5. Unscrew the 2 mounting bolts, use a screwdriver to release the assembly base from the holders and remove it (see accompanying illustration). Disconnect the electrical wiring connectors.

8. Remove and replace the faulty lamp.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Check the proper functioning of the lamps.
