Note: The indicator and indicator LEDs are built into the instrument cluster. In the event of a failure of the LED or the detection of any defect, the entire instrument cluster must be replaced.
1. The condition of all components installed in the combination is checked using a special diagnostic tool at Opel's branded service station. Based on this check, the need to replace the instrument cluster is determined.
2. Disconnect the battery (see chapter 5).
3. Remove the lower casing of the steering column (see chapter 11).
4. On Astra models, remove 2 fixing bolts (see resist. illustration) and remove the instrument cluster together with the upper casing of the steering column. On Zafira models, lift the top cover of the steering column to access the mounting bolts.
Note: The steering wheel does not need to be removed.
5. Disunite a socket of electroconducting from a reverse side of a combination of devices.
6. Wring out 2 clamps and remove the top casing of a steering column from a combination of devices.
7. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. When replacing the instrument cluster, it is necessary to make the appropriate setting of the maintenance interval counter in the conditions of a service station (see chapter 1), Switch on the ignition and check that the indicator lamps and other components of the combination function correctly.
