Removal
1. Remove the camshaft belt, crankshaft and camshaft sprockets and belt tensioner.
2. Remove the rear belt cover.
3. Remove the pan and oil receiver.
4. Disconnect the connector from the oil pressure sensor.
5. Remove the engine speed sensor bracket from the oil pump cover by unscrewing the bolts.
6. Loosen the bolts and remove the oil pump with the gasket and guide pins from the crankshaft nose.
7. Disassemble the pump (see photo).



8. Clean and inspect the pump gears, the piston of the pressure reducing valve, check for signs of wear on these parts. If the parts are in satisfactory condition, install the gears in the housing and check the pump clearances (see photo). If the gaps exceed the norm, replace the pump.


9. Before assembly, replace the crankshaft oil seal by prying and removing the old one and pressing in the new one using a mandrel (see photo).

10. Install the new gasket and pump in place (see photo). Install the removed parts in reverse order.
