Removal using the OPEL KM 565 tool

1. Using a special tool, hydraulic tappets can be removed without dismantling the camshaft.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle and remove the right wheel.

3. Remove the cylinder head cover, turn the crankshaft so that the lift of the drive cam of the removed tappet is facing upward.

4. Install the device on the bearing housing, make sure that the stop of the device goes onto the end of the valve. By screwing the bolt of the device into the threaded hole for the bearing housing mounting bolt, compress the valve spring and remove the tappet, cap and hydraulic tappet from under the camshaft.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Before assembly, lubricate the tappets with engine oil.
