Engines 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 liters
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Drain the liquid from the cooling system.
3. Remove the camshaft belt, tensioner and rear belt cover.
4. Turn off 3 bolts of fastening of the pump (see photo).
5. Remove the pump, if necessary, displace the pump with light blows from a soft-faced hammer.
6. The pump cannot be repaired and is replaced in case of a malfunction.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.
- A. Lubricate the split plane under the pump mount on the cylinder block with silicone grease.
- b. Replace pump o-ring.
- V. When installing the pump on 1.4 and 1.6 liter engines, align the marks on the pump flange and on the cylinder block. On 1.8 liter engines, align the pump to the lugs on the pump housing and on the cylinder block.
Single shaft engines
8. Disconnect the battery from the mass
9. Drain the liquid from the cooling system.
10. Remove the camshaft belt, tensioner and rear belt cover.
11 Remove the 3 mounting bolts and remove the pump.
12. The pump cannot be repaired and is replaced in case of a malfunction.
13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.
- A. Replace pump o-ring.
- b. When installing the pump, align the marks on the pump housing flange and on the cylinder block.
Engine 2.0L
14. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
15. Drain the liquid from the cooling system.
16. Remove the camshaft belt and tensioner.
17. Turn away 3 bolts of fastening and remove the pump.
18. The pump cannot be repaired and is replaced in case of a malfunction.
19. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Lubricate the split plane under the pump mount on the cylinder block with silicone grease.
