Fluid temperature sensor
1. Checking the sensor is carried out in a car service.
2. Drain the liquid from the cooling system.
Single shaft engines
3. The sensor is screwed into the intake manifold behind the generator. Remove the air filter and air ducts on the right side of the engine.
4. Disconnect from the gauge of a wire and turn out the gauge.
Twin-shaft engines 1.4 and 1.6 liters
5. Remove the air filter and air ducts.
6. Remove the sensor from the thermostat housing on the right side of the engine.
1.8L engine
7. Remove the thermostat housing (see above) and screw the sensor out of the housing.
Engine 2.0L
8. Remove the ignition coil control module from the thermostat housing.
9. Disconnect the wires from the sensor and unscrew the sensor from the flange of the thermostat housing.
Cooling system control unit
10. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
11. Remove the front bumper (Chapter 11).
12. Pull out the latches and disconnect the connectors from the control unit. Loosen the bolts and remove the control box (see photo).
