Removal and installation the hood latch release cable (Opel Astra G)

1. Open the hood and secure it in the fully open position.

2. Release the fastener securing the cable to the front panel of the vehicle.

3. Disconnect the cable end from the locking spring under the front panel.

4. In the vehicle interior, disconnect the cable end from the latch release lever handle located on the left under the instrument panel near the driver's feet.

To ensure adequate access to the fasteners, remove the handle from the support bracket.



5. Pull the cable into the engine compartment through the hole in the bulkhead, being careful not to damage the rubber bushing.

6. Remembering the route of the cable, release it from all intermediate fasteners and remove it from the engine compartment.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order - make sure that the cable is routed correctly and that it is securely fastened in all the provided fasteners. Check that the latch releases properly.
