Front bumper



Removal



1. Remove the three plastic fasteners securing the front bumper trim to the engine protection panel from underneath the vehicle. To remove the two-piece fastener, release the central pin and then remove the outer section.

2. Remove the side mounting screws and the lower mounting screws to the bumper trim of the mudguards.

3. Ask an assistant to hold the bumper, remove the plastic plugs and unscrew the upper screws securing the trim to the front panel.

4. Carefully separate the side sections of the bumper trim from the fenders and remove the trim by pulling it forward. On models equipped with fog lights and headlight lens washers, after removing the bumper, disconnect the corresponding electrical wiring. If necessary, disconnect the wiring from the outside air temperature sensor.

5. Release the fastening clips and separate the spoiler panel from the bumper cover.

6. Loosen the mounting nuts and remove the bumper support beam from the vehicle.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of dismantling the components.



1. Check the condition of the polystyrene gasket of the front bumper, replace it if necessary.

Rear bumper



1. Open the tailgate/trunk lid.

2. Under the vehicle, unscrew the bolts securing the lower part of the bumper to the rear panel.

3. At the rear of the wheel arches, unscrew the two screws securing the mudguards to the bumper trim.

4. Have an assistant hold the bumper and remove the upper mounting bolts.

5. Carefully remove the side sections of the bumper from the guide brackets on the fenders and, pulling back, separate the bumper from the car.

On Zafira models equipped with a towing hitch, access to the towbar is simply provided by sliding the latches inwards and removing the cover.


Installation is carried out in reverse order.
