Removing
1. Set the wheels to drive straight ahead.
2. Inside the car, unscrew the bolt that secures the lower part of the intermediate steering column shaft to the steering gear. Remove the shaft from the gear and move it to the side.
3. Using a syringe, pump out the fluid from the power steering reservoir.
4. On manual transmission models, disconnect the shift rod from the transmission.
5. On petrol models, disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
6. Hook the power unit into the hoist and lift it until the weight of the power unit is supported by the hoist.
7. Remove the grille and use wire to tie the radiator to the air baffle.
8. Remove the front bumper.
9. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Remove both front wheels.
10. Unscrew nuts and disconnect drafts of the stabilizer of cross-section stability from forward racks.
11. Remove the tie rods from the steering knuckles.
12. Unscrew the clamping bolts securing the hinges of the lower front suspension arms in the steering knuckles.
13. Using the appropriate lever, move the lower front suspension arms down and remove the ball joint trunnions from the steering knuckle. If the ball joint trunnion is tight in the steering knuckle, use a screwdriver or thin chisel as a wedge and loosen the fastening clamp.
14. Remove the exhaust pipe.
15. Unscrew the three bolts securing the rear support of the power unit to the gearbox.
16. On models with air conditioning, disconnect the air conditioning pipes from the lower frame.
17. Disconnect the power steering lines from the right side of the lower frame.
18. Using a lifting mechanism, support the power unit.
19. Remove the bolts securing the front unit support to the lower frame.
20. Loosen the bottom frame mounting bolts. Slightly lower the lower frame and unscrew the power steering pipes from the steering gear.
21. Lower the lower frame and remove from under the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
