Glass replacement
1. If necessary, the mirror glass can be removed for replacement without removing its housing. On models with electrically adjustable mirrors, disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Using a screwdriver as a lever, carefully remove the glass from the ball joint and, where applicable, disconnect the heater wires from the glass. Be careful not to break the glass (see illustration).

3. To install, simply slide the glass onto the ball joint, making sure the heater wires are attached (where it is applied).
Mirror - removal and installation
4. On models with power mirrors, disconnect the negative battery cable.
5. On models with manually adjustable mirrors, remove the adjuster lever.
6. Using a screwdriver, remove the mirror trim panel from the inner front edge of the door (see illustration).

7. Remove the three now exposed mounting screws and lift the mirror assembly off the door. On models with power mirrors, disconnect the wiring harness connector (see illustrations).


8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, but make sure that the rubber seal on the mirror housing is installed correctly (see illustration).

9. Remove the mirror glass as described previously in this Chapter.
10. Remove the three motor mounting screws and disconnect the wiring connector, then remove the motor (see illustration).

Installation
11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, but make sure that the electrical wiring is located behind the motor to avoid damage by the adjustment mechanism.
