The preheating system constantly monitors itself and provides information about any malfunctions of the glow plugs in the form of a flashing of the corresponding control lamp on the instrument panel. The frequency of the flashing and its duration can be used to determine the source of the malfunction.
If the tips burn out, the glow plugs should be replaced with new ones.
If the contacts stick, replace the relay.
If the wire is broken, check for voltage using electrical circuits. If there is voltage, check the relay for proper operation.
