Front suspension and axle shafts. Design and general information (Opel Vectra A)

The front wheels of the Opel Vectra are mounted on struts connected to the body by transverse levers. During repairs, the front struts are removed as a set. The stabilizer counteracts body tilts on turns and promotes better grip of the front wheels with the road. Torque from the engine is transmitted to the wheels through two half-axles.

Attention! Due to dynamic loads, the stabilizer mount at the lever may become loose, which is detected by knocking in the area of the front suspension. In this case, you need to put a rubber buffer and a plate on the bolt, tighten the hex nut of the lever with a torque of 20 Nm and lock it with an additional lock nut.
