To install and remove the bar, access the tensioning device with a cable traction, located in the trunk or in the niche of the luggage compartment floor.

Removal the protective cover

Removal the protective cover

Insert the mounting lever with the flat end at the top into the tensioning device with the cable traction, pull it until it stops in the direction of the red sector, then pull it out and put it in place (for safety reasons, a special spring should push the mounting lever out of the tensioning device). Remove the protective cover from the bottom of the towing hitch housing. Place it in a foam case or in a case in the "Universal".

Installation

Place the rod with the ball head on the articulated coupling of the towing device and press it sharply upwards. It will lock itself. You will hear the lock click.

For safety reasons, before you hitch up the trailer, you must once again make sure of the following:
  • 1. The tensioning device with cable traction must be installed on the green sector.
  • 2. On the hinged coupling of the outer part of the traction device housing, on the right side (on the "Universal" on the left) of the end surface of the fastening bolt, a pin should protrude by several millimeters (see picture).

Start driving with a trailer only after the satisfactory condition of the mechanisms being checked. If you are unable to install the removable coupling rod with the ball head correctly on your own, contact a service station for help.
