Installing the camshaft (Opel Kadett E)

Lubricate the pushrod guide bushings with a thin layer of engine oil and, taking into account the markings applied during disassembly, insert the pushrods into them.

Apply molybdenum disulfide based lubricant to the journals and rubbing surfaces of the camshaft.

Carefully install the camshaft into the supports, being careful not to damage the journals.

Insert the camshaft locking fork plate into the groove of the front journal so that the ends of the plate are facing the side opposite the crankshaft, and tighten the plate mounting bolts.
