Carburetor with automatic starting device



Remove the carburetor and perform the following preliminary operations:
  • set the cam so that the fast idle speed adjusting screw rests on its upper profile. In this case, the throttle valve of the 1st chamber should be slightly open by 0.50 mm (dimension "A", see photo).
  • if there is a deviation from the norm, use the adjusting screw to open the throttle valve of the 1st chamber to achieve the required size (see photo).

Install the carburetor.

Start and warm up the engine. Make sure that the engine runs smoothly at idle.

Stop the engine.

Remove the air filter and plug the vacuum intake hole for the automatic control device behind the air filter layer on the intake manifold.

Open the throttle valve of the 1st chamber slightly.

Set the cam so that the high-speed adjustment screw rests on the upper profile of the cam after closing the throttle valve.

Start the engine without pressing the accelerator pedal. Measure the crankshaft speed at fast idle, which should be within 2250-2350 rpm.



If necessary, remove the plug from the fast idle adjustment screw and use the screw to achieve the desired engine operating mode, then replace the screw plug.

Start and warm up the engine.

Stop the engine.

Remove the air filter and plug the intake air temperature adjustment hole on the carburetor.

Pull the choke control handle so that the mark on the cam is positioned opposite the fast idle speed adjusting screw (see photo) and fix the choke in the open position.

Start the engine

Check the accelerated idle mode, which should be in the range of 2050-2150 rpm. If necessary, remove the blue cap of the accelerated idling adjustment screw and adjust the required speed of rotation of the crankshaft, then replace the screw cap.
