Carburetor with automatic starter
Remove the carburetor and carry out the following preliminary operations:
- Install the cam so that the fast idle adjusting screw rests on its top profile. In this case, the throttle valve of the 1st chamber should be ajar by 0.50 mm (size «A», see photo).
- in case of deviation from the norm with the adjusting screw for slightly opening the throttle valve of the 1st chamber, achieve the required size (see photo).
Install carburetor.
Start and warm up the engine. Make sure the engine runs smoothly at idle.
Stop engine.
Remove the air filter and plug the vacuum intake port for the automatic control device behind the air filter puff on the intake manifold.
Slightly open the throttle valve of the 1st chamber.
Set the cam so that the fast travel adjusting screw rests on the top profile of the cam after closing the throttle.
Start the engine without depressing the accelerator pedal. Measure the engine speed at fast idle, which should be within 2250-2350 rpm.
If necessary, remove the plug from the fast idle adjusting screw and use the screw to achieve the desired engine operating mode, then replace the screw plug.
Carburetor with manual choke starter
Start and warm up the engine.
Stop engine.
Remove the air filter, close the intake air temperature adjustment hole on the carburetor with a plug.
Pull out the choke control knob so that the mark on the cam is against the adjusting screw (see photo) fast idle and lock the choke in the open position.
Start the engine
Check the fast idle mode, which should be between 2050-2150 rpm. If necessary, remove the blue plug of the fast idle adjusting screw and adjust the desired engine speed, then replace the screw plug.
