Carburetor — Adjusting the High Idle Speed (Opel Omega A)

1. The engine must be warmed up to operating temperature, the idle speed and mixture must be correctly adjusted.

2. Set the fast idle adjustment screw to the second highest step of the fast idle cam. Connect the tachometer to the engine according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure the choke is fully open.

3. Start the engine without touching the throttle pedal and compare the engine speed with the one given in the Specifications. If adjustment is necessary, remove the fast idle screw plug and adjust the speed with the screw (photo).



4. After completing the adjustment, stop the engine and disconnect the tachometer.
