From 02/16/81, a damping valve is installed in the vacuum hose between the carburetor and the membrane mechanism of the vacuum ignition timing regulator (OPEL - № 831790). This valve eliminates the too rapid opening of the 2nd chamber under the twin valve, resulting in no more dips during acceleration in the speed range between 2700-3500 rpm. In the case of an additional installation of a damping valve, make sure that the spherical part of the valve is on the side of the carburetor.
